SSL Juniors Program

Players Born - 2020 & 2021

The Juniors program at Seashore Soccer League provides young players with an introduction to soccer. Our age-appropriate curriculum ensures players will master new skills every session. Skills include dribbling, passing, goal-scoring, teamwork, and more! In each session, our coaches will teach players a new skill, and they will put it to use in fun games as well as scrimmages! All of our coaches have extensive backgrounds in playing and/or coaching soccer, and we hope to instill our love and passion for soccer in our young players! To see our curriculum page click here.

You will be able to register your child with this registration.

TOPSoccer Overview

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any player who has a developmental or physical disability. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the North Carolina Soccer family.

TOPSoccer is designed to reach and meet the needs of players ages 3 to 21 with physical and/or developmental disabilities. The program caters to player development rather than competition. TOPSoccer takes these children off the sidelines and allows them to participate in the game of soccer.

Why do we need a TOPSoccer Program?

TOPSoccer was formed to perpetuate the US Youth Soccer mission statement which is, in part, "to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition." There are thousands of children with disabilities who need and can be provided with the opportunity to play soccer through the TOPSoccer program.

TOPSoccer athletes will develop a sense of belonging and will learn the value of being part of a team; improve their self-esteem, fitness and social skills; and most importantly, have FUN!

What is SDP (Seashore Developmental Program)?

The Seashore Development Program (SDP) offers players an opportunity to receive extra time outside of the normal programs. During these times players will receive time with our coaching staff to devote time to certain skills such as dribbling, passing, ball control, etc. In keeping with our Mission Statement of " One Club...Many Paths" we want to give all of our players the opportunities to reach that next level.

Players will register similar to the above program, but will select the optional training session each week by coaching staff at a central location (TBD). Teams will still be coached 2X weekly, along with their matches, by their normal volunteer coach. The difference here is that players will have the opportunity to attend professional lead technical session with our coaching staff for a total of 3 practices per week.

Practices

For U6, U8, and U10- Practices will be held at the location you select. Practice times will be set by team coach.

For U12, U14, U16, U19- Practice location and time will be set by team coach.
